The Past Month

The past month has been a whirlwind of activity, and I can't even describe how busy both James and I have been (thus the reason there hasn't been any posts for a while). Between busy work schedules, wedding, Luca, floristry study, James' University Study, purchasing a piece of land, and getting ready to build a house...well there hasn't been much time for anything! On top of it all, both James and I got quite ill the month prior to the wedding. Usual sinus infections and sore throats. My voice sounded really bad and I couldn't stop coughing. I stopped going to the gym in a bid to get my health back, but it only made me feel worse. Something magical happened when we arrived to the States though. I started to feel better! (thank goodness)

Here Luca is checking out one of my latest floristry projects. I made this pomander ball of roses for my friend Toni's 31st bday. She threw this amazing Vegas style party at a local bar - I think James was away in Wellington for his "NZ stag night" (yes, that's right...he had two) so it was nice to go out and party with Toni to get away from all the last month stress.

I can't even tell you how excited I was to leave NZ for our wedding. It seems like we had been planning this event for months (14 to be exact) and it was finally here! We left Palmy on a Friday, and obviously I couldn't focus much at work....but then I got a call that Luca had gotten ill and was having seizures b/c of a high temp. Scary stuff. We rushed to the doctors office, got him some meds and clearance to still travel. Needless to say we had a very restless night in a hotel room near the Auckland airport with him. Poor little, guy.

Here he is helping me pack for our big trip. He's like a cat. Jumping in and out of suitcases. I put clothes in...he takes them out.
