28 Weeks - but who's counting?
Today is daylight savings for NZ (thank goodness!!! I'm really not a fan of the Palmerston North winters....at all!) The gov't decieded that NZ need 4 extra weeks of summer sunlight, so this year they have started daylight savings 2 weeks ahead of schedule. It makes it so much nicer to wake up to a warm, sunny house and before we know it the evening BBQ season will be upon us - yay!
Nothing too eventful has happened this week except that I got a stomach bug and was in bed for 2 days unable to eat anything. That was pretty miserable. Of course I read up everything in our baby books to make sure it wasn't someother baby complication thing, but after visiting our Dr, I was reassured that with time it would go away. The thing about being sick with a baby is that you are afraid to take any over the counter meds...so you basically have to wait it out. When I regained my health, James and I went down to Welly to visit Karyln, Moi (it was his B-day) and baby Jaycob - who looked about the same size as last week, but seemed to be doing better :-).
We also bought our next big ticket item....a cot (crib) for the baby. It's perfect, exactly the kind we were looking for. I had been searching the internet for weeks to find a used one at a good price, and lo and behold we found one. Not only is it in great condition, but it was also very inexpensive - a little victory for us. More money to spend now on the mattress, change table/drawers, bouncer, rocking chair.....

You're entering Spring, and we are getting set for fall! Got the house decorated with pumpkins and stuff. Sorry to hear about your bug, but glad you are feeling better now. Great news about the crib!
